For Newcomers, the first step into your experiment with Human Design is to be introduced to your own unique design. Through this initiation you will discover that you have a unique energy and a strategy for accessing your inner authority. And you will begin to uncover the signposts for how you can interact with the world around you and yet stay true to the path and purpose that only you can live.
In this Clinic you will be guided by a Human Design Analyst, trained to tell you the story of Your Self. You will have a personal 30-minute reading of your unique BodyGraph, the map to your design, and also have an opportunity to share in the readings of up to three other students. This is a wonderful opportunity to begin your own journey, and also to attend with other newcomers who are entering into a similar exploration.
There will be time for questions, and each clinic is limited to three participants. This will be an intimate sharing that will support you gently in taking this first step.
This reading will qualify as the pre-requisite for the Living Your Design Workshop.

What happens in a HD study group?
We’re going to talk about one of our favorite things – The Human Design System. Each session will have a focus topic that allows our conversations to have some structure – but anything goes within that focus.
Everyone is encouraged to share – or not. Each session will have a facilitator to kick things off for us and help keep things rolling along throughout our time. You do not have to be really experienced to join this group. Everyone is welcome. The goal is to have a nice mix of folks to allow a rich level of sharing.
You do not have to have a reading before you join, but it is suggested. You will receive personal information about your design in the study groups but it will not be a reading. We will look at individual designs to highlight points and further our collective learning while giving you some insight into living more fully into your design.
You will be learning lots of things about yourself and about design in general. Much of that learning is going to come from the collective experience of the participants and occasionally from some established teachers who will join us and share their expertise.

Everything in Human Design is about the Form. Even when we talk about the personality, it is the personality of a certain Form. It is all in the Form and it all lives through the Form and the Form is Structure, and Structure operates on Formulas. Formulas describe the mechanical functions that differentiate one Form from another.
Talking about the human form, in Human Design we have all of the basic formulas that describe the way our unique anatomy is going to express itself through our interactive magnetic field; the Aura.
Just like our body has a skeleton that enables it to keep its fundamental physical structure aligned to the laws of nature, the human Aura is an energetic and biochemical ‘skeleton’ to the structured development of any individual’s psychic realms and perception.
Because the Human Design System reveals that life itself is such a deep ocean of formulas, the moment you lose perspective of the core elements of any chart, you stop seeing the forest because of the many trees and you get lost in the stories of ‘The 1001 Nights of Subjectivity’.
Everything about the form follows its mechanical nature, or biological, if mechanical sounds too cold for you, and everything that is human operates on patterns that can be described logically, in a way that can be recognized on the very surface of our life experience.

Mechanically, Variable is a combination of four imprints of a Rave Chart, the Design Sun/Earth; the Design North and South Nodes; the Personality North and South Nodes and the Personality Sun/Earth. Each imprint is synthesized based on its Tonal activation to differentiate the imprint through 'Leftness' or 'Rightness'. The resulting combination of these four elements is called a Variable. It is an awareness map that lays out the possibility for an awareness in this life.
There are 16 possible combinations that represent the 16 cognitive Families. Through the Variable Rave Property the four transformations that are the potential of all nine-centered beings is revealed.
To get a grasp about the importance of the meaning of the Variable, it can be compared with Type at another “octave”. What Type is to the form principle, variable is to awareness. And Awareness is a physical practice of a mechanical process, just like Type is a mechanical principle to navigate correctly through life.

We will delve deeply into the archetypal purpose each of us are here to express. Once you are functioning as a true Nine-Centered being, your Incarnation Cross organically begins to express itself.

Each semester we explore one quarter of the Rave Mandala Wheel. In the September 2012 semester, we will be discussing Quarter 4 – Mutation.
Some of the material we cover:
· Basic review and understanding of the Incarnation Cross structure
. Class 1 gives an overview of the fundamentals of the Wheel mechanics and the purpose of each Quarter
· Profile mechanics and its contribution to Incarnation Crosses
· Right Angle, Juxtaposition and Left Angle for each Hexagram in Quarter 4
Each hexagram has an important quality that it introduces into our societal structure. The hexagram and its expression through its 12 Profiles weaves an important aspect into the tapestry of humanity. As you travel around the wheel through the hexagrams, you begin to see the building of humanity and its institutions. An Incarnation Cross is both personal and it is global. We will explore Incarnation Crosses from the micro perspective and the macro perspective.
Support material will be provided to go along with the course. We will explore charts of famous people for Right Angle, Juxtaposition and Left Angle Profiles in each hexagrams. These examples will be useful in helping us to see the obstacles to living out the archetypal nature as expressed in each of these famous people’s Incarnation Crosses.

The Rave I’ Ching can be discouraging because people are left with so many questions. When a person comes to you (or you are looking at the charts of your friends and family) – think of that person as a young child. It is the first seven years of our lives that condition us. It is this that causes all the pain and suffering as we become adults.
Think of that person as a baby coming into the world. All babies are so cute and so adorable … but think about how different each one is according to Type.
The adorable little baby Manifestor who has a powerful aura that is closed and repelling. The ability of even a young toddler who is a Manifestor to be able to do things that will create fear in the parents and ultimately lead to punishment.
The Projector as a child was not born to run around and play all the very physical games with other children. It’s not natural. All types have had a rough time as children – conditioned away from who they are – but the Projector was the most deeply hurt by feeling that something was wrong with them because they were not full of energy.
With a Generator or Manifesting Generator - from the moment they were born every one has told them that they have to go out there and get what they want – make it happen. They know it doesn’t work – but to stop that is really scary. They’ve got an incredible motor within them – very powerful but they are totally vulnerable. This is what they need to understand. Without waiting to respond – they are not protected in this life.
A Reflector child hides - either alone in their room or behind an energy person. They are like sponges in their environment - soaking it all up. They can end up really getting attached to one parent – who brings a stable aura because everything is always changing. They are different with each person they are with. This can bewilder them. All of this can be really overwhelming to young Reflectors.

In my own learning curve with Human Design, I have been very fortunate in my Geometry to endure through its many mutations as it grew into what today is an incredibly mature body of knowledge. In comparison, we were very poorly equipped as professionals in the beginning. As a matter of fact, for quite a long period of time the only analytical key besides the capacity to read the Definition in the Body Graph was the Cross of Life. But what an amazing key it was.
In the recognition of this, what I found most fascinating was the seemingly random but in fact deeply dynamic connections established by the Sun / Earth and Nodal Polarities inside the Body Graph. Overtime, I started to notice that those thematic polarities were always there between those two gates, whether one had them activated or not, because those polarities represent a basic mechanical grid upon which all the circuits that exist in the Body Graph are interconnected.
Polarities have never stopped fascinating me, and there is not a single day in which I look at them and do not discover new themes and relationships arising out of each of the 32 hexagram polarities that we find in the wheel. Many years ago I had my first creative attempt as a teacher in Human Design going around all polarities in the wheel and describing them as a sequence to my Spanish students, way before I followed Ra around the wheel in the Global Orchestration Directories Training.
I rarely had a chance to share my understanding about the relationship between the Rave Body Graph and Rave Mandala with the english student group, and I feel this is a course that provides a perfect opportunity to fulfil that purpose. TONE: Tone represents the very inner structure of the Cognitive Architecture itself. More than the Not-Self mind, yours or mine, it is the very essence of ‘Not-self-ness’ (read ignorance) that imbues every human mind with an infinite and vane readiness to generalize in the way that it thinks and talks.
It controls the forces that legitimize - with their second hand purpose - the trans-auric mechanics of Pentha and WA and the resulting homogenization of human consciousness. It is, moreover, what gives politicians and priests moral authority to lie to people in their face. And to those who need to continue believing in what they are told, the moral weakness to indulge in their excuses and justifications.
In its despair to maintain control, the Not-Self mind is capable of anything in its search for ‘reasons’, unable to surrender and accept what simply is. Human Design is end knowledge, only this time the end is not about replacing things with something better, but rather learning to accept people and see things for what they are, recognizing the intrinsic beauty of their limitations, the same way we do that with plants, dogs or ants. Each gate of the Splenic Center describes the awareness of a specific physical and existential fear. If this capacity was meant to be

Every gate and line of the Splenic Center represents a specific seismograph, with its unique capacity to check the various existential energies which stream through the body, as others impact it from the outside.
